A quick glance at my closet reveals my style as “not-so-basic basic.” Meaning I tend to gravitate toward classic shapes with interesting details. I almost always shy away from prints. In fact, the only “prints” that I ever really wear are stripes. In fact, my passion for stripes is turning into quite an obsession (okay, I’m beginning to digress—more on the stripes invasion in a future post).

My accessories drawer, however, is a different story. Here you will find stacks and stacks of bangles in every color, a handful of rings, layers upon layers of scarves in every print and texture, plus a whole lot of necklaces. And when I say a whole lot, I mean A WHOLE LOT! (Go ahead, ask my friends.) I guess I rely on my accessories to be the source of all my drama, wardrobe-wise. I let them do all the talking. I love how easy it is to transform an outfit from quirky prepster to sexy bohemian with just a change of earrings.

Now, if you’re anything like me, I’m sure you’ve already visited—and have gone gaga over—that accessories haven, Accessorize. There you’ll find trinkets that feel like they were made especially for you, no matter what your style preference may be. The good news is, they recently launched their Spring / Summer 2010 collection, and let me tell you that it is—as Rachel Zoe would put it—BUH-NANAS! I literally gasped when they emailed me photos: gorgeous bejeweled bangles, necklaces with beads wrapped in silk, and oversized totes that look like you picked them up from some exotic market. In other words, the items are awesome.

Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect:

So you’d better get your cute little behinds to the nine Accessorize outlets in the metro before I beat you there and scoop up all the merchandise. They’ve got branches in Festival Mall Alabang, Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Galleria, Trinoma, Greenbelt 5, AliMall, Marquee Mall, SM City Cebu, and SM City Davao. You can also visit their Facebook page for more updates.
