Most women use several fragrances, depending on their mood, outfit, or the occasion. We have scents for work, laidback Saturday at the mall with friends, a glam nightout in the hottest club, and of course, a romantic dinner date with our man.

For those days when you just want to feel feminine, light, and spontaneous, you may want to try Van Cleef and Arpels’ newest fragrance, First Premier Bouquet.

If you’ve stopped slathering sunscreen on your face after the summer months, reconsider your sun protection habit. A scattering of clouds doesn’t mean we’re safe from harsh effects of UVA/UVB rays, which may induce skin aging. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends that we use at least SPF 15, even when in the shade.

At the launch of EchoStore last week, I found the alternative for my usual brand of sunscreen in Z.E.N.’s (Zestful, Energetic, Natural) Shea Butter Sunblock Cream SPF 15.

Find out why you’ll also love this product after the jump. (more…)

All-natural skin care and pampering

Everything’s going back to basics these days, skin care included. Like mineral makeup that turns to naturally occurring ingredients to enhance our beauty and bring color to our face, skin care made of natural ingredients such as essences of fruits, and even clay, seem to be all the rage. This is so because products made of natural ingredients are believed to be much safer and healthier for our skin.

Holystics Naturapeutic Cosmetics by Holystic Haven, House of Healing, now also available in EchoStore, is a new alternative skin care renewal system that aims to heal the body by claiming to use the best of nature and science combined. All their natural personal care products are supposedly free from carcinogenic ingredients (such as preservatives). They also claim to contain a magnetic defense complex that shields your skin against all kinds of pollution, artificial electro-magnetic waves (from your computer and mobile phones), and radiation.

Check out their skin care line that consists of six products that treat specific needs of your face and body after the jump. (more…)

Didn’t the song say “Give love on Christmas Day?” Here’s a new store that turns shopping into a philanthropic and environment-friendly activity.

In the quaint new EchoStore, all the shopping you’ll be doing will not only benefit Filipinos who are most in need of your help but also the environment. Yet don’t underestimate the products you’ll find in this so-called “one stop shop for sustainable living”: it in fact offers everything from chic bags and various skincare products to detergent, baby care products, colorful laptop bags and yoga mats, and even yummy treats you won’t find elsewhere.

Curious? Read all about the store and the many products they offer after the jump. (more…)
