Looking to invest in new eyewear? Make sure you go for quality. Modern eyewear is much more than just a vision aid; they are also fashion statements and vital accessories.

One of the brands trusted for both sun eyewear and ophthalmic frames, is Silhouette International, the Austrian eyewear manufacturer founded in 1964 by Arnold and Anneliese Schmied in Linz. Silhouette has been producing and marketing up to 3.3 million glasses, which includes corrective eyewear and sunglasses, each year. In addition to its private brand, Silhouette also produces and markets worldwide models of the licensing brands Daniel Swarovski Paris Crystal eyewear and Adidas eyewear. Silhouette eyewear is available in around 100 countries around the world, with an export rate of 95%.

Chuck turns 100: A century of walking with Converse

Sneakers are a staple in every woman’s wardrobe. Amidst rows of ballet flats, strappy sandals, flip-flops, high-heeled peep-toes, and pointy stilettos, there are at least one or two pairs of sneakers that stand out from the pack. And more often than not, they are Chuck Taylors—they have been, for a century now.

Converse reaches its 100th year in the shoe business this year, a century of safe, durable, and most especially stylish rubber soled shoes, borne out of the 1908 slipping accident of Marquis M. Converse. More than being the original shoes for athletes, Converse has evolved into one of the world’s iconic shoe brands—every pair is a statement of the wearer’s personality, mindset, and lifestyle. Converse has a wide variety of styles and designs to suit both men and women from all ages and walks of life.

The brand marks its 100th year with the Converse Century celebration, which kicks off with the Spring collection. True to form, the Converse Spring collection captures the consumer’s style and character. Women will definitely love the fancy and colorful new lines of Chuck Taylors—from psychedelic to graffiti—that could add a funky twist to their usual wardrobe. Some of the designs from the Spring collection are unveiled after the jump. (more…)

Not only can’t everyone tell the legits from the fakes, but there are some people who simply are unaware that there’s an “authentic” version of that particular item, mostly if they aren’t familiar with the brand in the first place (although it would be nice if people knew better).

Coincidentally, I’m a big Tokidoki fan and someone happened to drop us an email asking how to tell an authentic Tokidoki bag from a fake.
