There are degrees of laziness in gift-giving. At one extreme are the sloths who won’t do more than give electronic GC’s from Amazon (my favorite gift, actually :) , and at the opposite end are the chipper elves who will brave pandemonium at the malls and toil over proper packaging of presents. Most people fall somewhere in between—will shop but will not wrap.  Or can’t, even if willing.  Or simply don’t have time.

Wrap-happy elf Leah Espiritu-Rocha has set up All Wrapped Up inside Powerbooks Greenbelt 4 to rescue you from your gift-wrapping needs (and misdeeds).

Safe Sun-Worshipping at a New Boracay Boutique Resort

Beach-Hut.jpgI’m a beauty editor and if there’s one thing I love about my job, it’s testing new products before they hit the store shelves. This preview gives me the chance to make sure a product works before people ask me about it.

This summer, I received a whole load of sun protection products but for some reason, there was one new product that I didn’t get to try out before its retail launch—Beach Hut’s Clear Spray Sunblock. I missed their press launch because I had a shoot that day and didn’t pay much attention to it. Then, I noticed it making an appearance on store shelves…I never had a chance to buy a bottle to test it myself because it kept skipping my mind.

Sunset.jpgIt was only until I went to Boracay in May that I finally had a chance to test it. I was booked in a new resort at Station 1 called Zuzuni. It’s a free Wi-Fi mini-boutique resort with only four rooms and a small restaurant at the ground level but this place really packs in the class. (more…)

beachIt’s been a loooong Friday at work and we were about to pack up and leave when someone from Cebu Pacific told us they are dropping their rates again, this time even lower (thanks to new aircraft delivery). Yippppeeeeee!!!!!! The press release won’t be out in the papers till tomorrow, so of course we’re giving you ShopCrazies a head start. Flights from Manila to anywhere in the Visayas are now P568 one-way, while Manila to Mindanao flights are now P868 one-way. Notice the beach pic? That’s our super secret hideaway in Negros and we’re booking a flight right this minute. Race you to the website www.cebupacificair.com! Obvious tip: It’s much easier to book online than queue up at the ticket office. Hurry before the seats run out. Toodles and happy weekend!

Tiffanys-Logo.jpgWe love getting liquored up at home with our friends, but hate setting up and cleaning up. So we just serve rhum coke out of plastic cups. It’s tacky at our age, but convenient. Now that Tiffany’s Martini Bar is around, however, we’ve lost our excuse to be lazy hosts. Tiffany’s is an on-call martini service that can set up almost anywhere you want: office, home, clubhouse, tennis court, rooftop—you name it. They bring the best ingredients, plus experienced bartenders and waiters who can keep the drinks flowing while you flit from guest to guest as gracious unfrazzled host.
