As I was going through Time Style & Design’s press release, I realized that hey, I didn’t know Time magazine had a style issue! It’s like finding out your bespectacled Chemistry teacher actually wears knee-high boots and motorcycle jackets or something.
So, anyway, Burberry and Armani model Agyness Deyn graces the cover of Time Style & Design’s Spring 2008 issue (photographed by David Slipjer). The magazine also features a very interesting story about the new generation of consumers, which journalist Deirdre van Dyk profiles as buyers with sky’s the limit spending habits.
Van Dyk writes, “All around the world, designers and luxury executives are jockeying to appeal to the millennial generation… More often than not, the millennials are more informed consumers [than their boomer parents].” The issue also includes a luxury survey and shows how the millennial generation spends compared to their boomer parents: what brands they trust, where they shop, where they live, how they think about luxury, and more.
